Alida is a passionate physiotherapist with a strong background in sports and high-performance athletics. She earned her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in London, UK, after completing an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology at Western University, where she graduated on the Dean’s Honour List.
Her love for the field began long before university as a competitive gymnast. For 12 years she trained to Level 10 and represented Team Ontario, giving her deep insight into the physical and mental demands of elite sport. She remains actively involved in gymnastics through coaching.
With clinical experience across Ontario and the UK, Alida has worked in sports musculoskeletal rehabilitation, private practice, neurology, pediatrics, and acute care. She is skilled in manual therapy, exercise prescription, gait retraining, functional movement analysis, and various therapeutic modalities including BFR, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound. Her advanced training includes Concussion Management (Université Laval) and Athletic Taping.
Alida has supported athletes in hockey, rugby, gymnastics, and varsity sports in both clinic and sideline settings, including a placement at Isokinetic London (FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence) and as an athletic trainer with the Burlington Eagles Hockey Club.
Alida combines hands-on manual therapy, targeted rehabilitation, and collaborative goal-setting to help her patients move confidently and return to the activities they love. Outside the clinic, you’ll find her at the gym, hiking, coaching gymnastics, travelling, or cheering enthusiastically at sporting events. Movement remains at the centre of her life.
