Hailing from her hometown of Welland, Alyssa earned both her Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) and Master of Professional Kinesiology from Brock University, followed by her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University.
Throughout her training, Alyssa gained broad clinical experience across multiple areas of Physiotherapy within the Niagara region — including neurological rehabilitation, concussion management, orthopaedic and sports injury recovery, geriatrics, and paediatrics. She’s worked alongside the Brock University softball team as their athletic trainer and with the sports medicine team, supporting a wide range of varsity athletes. She has also completed clinical placements in acute care populations where she supported patients in the ICU, stroke, cardiac and mental health rehabilitation units.
Alyssa brings an empathetic, evidence-based approach to care, combining manual therapy, individualized therapeutic exercises, and progressive loading strategies to reduce pain and restore function, helping her clients move with confidence, optimize function, and achieve sustainable, long-term outcomes so they can return to the activities they love.
Outside the clinic, Alyssa enjoys playing hockey and fast-pitch, baking, exploring wineries, and spending time outdoors with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Theodore. And as a cousin of Jim Carrey, she’s also known for keeping the clinic’s energy high — especially when she jokes, “Somebody stop me!” after a great session.
