Alyssa earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) in 2021 and her Master of Professional Kinesiology in 2022 from Brock University before completing her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2024.
Throughout her training, she gained diverse clinical experience, working with the sports medicine team at Brock, supporting varsity athletes and the softball team, and completing placements in physiotherapy clinics across Niagara with a focus on neurological rehabilitation, concussion care, athletic populations, geriatrics, and paediatrics. She also spent time in acute care at Greater Niagara General Hospital in both the ICU and stroke units, as well as in cardiac and mental health rehabilitation at Kingston’s rehabilitation hospital.
Outside the clinic, Alyssa enjoys playing hockey and softball, baking, wine touring, and spending time outdoors with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Theodore. She also happens to be a cousin of Jim Carrey, so she’s the only one in the clinic who can get away with shouting, “Somebody stop me!” after a great physio session.
