Sophie isn’t your typical physiotherapist — she’s in a league of her own.
Originally from Kingston, Ontario, Sophie began her journey with a background in music, completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance at Bishop’s University before earning her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. After years working in the arts community, she saw firsthand how underserved musicians and performers were when it came to injury prevention and rehabilitation — sparking her passion for helping others move, perform, and recover with confidence.
Sophie is passionate about her role as a facilitator, guiding clients to return to the activities they love most. She emphasizes self-efficacy, health literacy, and a collaborative, evidence-based approach, creating personalized movement and exercise plans that drive sustainable change. Her practice blends pain education, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise to help clients alleviate pain, build strength, and develop long-term resilience.
Sophie is rostered in pelvic floor physiotherapy and is a certified 200-hour yoga and mindfulness instructor. She has completed extensive continuing education in areas such as pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation, pelvic pain management, musculoskeletal health, and gender-diverse care, reflecting her commitment to inclusive, patient-centred physiotherapy:
